Christian Lappalainen

Christian Lappalainen started making music in the mid 90's. After a year he was the first artist to release an EP on SVEK (under his Calico moniker), and soon landed a his first live gig at the biggest outdoor music festival in Sweden at the time, Hultsfredsfestivalen, playing alongside names like The Advent, Cari Lekebusch, Larry Heard.

He continued to produce and has released music in the early 2000's on labels like Audio Beyond, Deep Touch (sub label of Miami based Sounds for People), G-Force (with DJ Mourad Sliti), Lace Records (France), Wrongs Steps among others.

His biggest release to date was the album Acid På Svenska ("Acid in Swedish") – a 303 infused album paying homage to one of the most beloved Swedish jazz pianists of all times, Jan Johansson. This also lead to numerous live gigs presenting the album both to jazz aficionados, and those loving the sound of the TB-303 and Swedish folklore music.
